What: Tea @ the Park – a citizens science project in collaboration with Store Mosse National Park, Utrecht University & Radboud University in The Netherlands.

Discover the role of soil and climate in decomposition and the carbon cycle, and help scientists collect data. Visitors of Store Mosse National Park can pick-up a science kit in the naturum visitors centre and collect scientific data at home. The research team collects the same data in the national park. Together we investigate the decomposition process in urban and natural ecosystems and test a new protocol.

When & Where:

• 26 May 11:00: Opening of Tea @ the Park, during National Parks Day at 'naturum' Store Mosse National Park
• 26 May – 1 August 2024: pick-up of science kits at naturum, data collection during 3 months at home, in your garden, school yard or local park (ask permission)
